Since  we live in New Mexico it seems only natural to collect old cards with a New mexican connection or flavor.  Thus old Paul Harvey cards show vies of downtown Albuquerqe as well as scenes from indian pueblos.

Presbyterian Hospital started as a TB sanitarium and it has been possible to collect postcards which show its growth over the years.  We were even able to obtain a card signed by one of the early administrators.

Postcard collecting has been popular for a long time.  The cards were printed in thousands of varieties, they are pretty, they requuire little space to store, and you can choose from thousands of offerings on Ebay.

It is clearly necessary to pick a few topics and concentrate.  One category my wife found interesting was old German cards.  By that I mean cards printed before WWII.  Even this is a huge filed so there is lots to choose from

As time permits we will be scanning and uploading some of the more interesting cards we have found over the years; including some which were passed down in family photo albums
